Something broken, or just a question?

Write to coolpanion@welcomattic.com. Every email gets read and answered.

Reporting a bug

To make it easier to fix, please include your iOS version, your Coolpanion version (Settings, at the bottom), your Coolify version, and what you did, expected and got instead.

How fast is an answer?

Coolpanion is built by one person, in evenings and weekends. Usually within a few days, sometimes longer. Thanks for your patience.

Common questions

Getting connected.

Where do I get an API token?

In your own Coolify dashboard, under Keys & Tokens, then API tokens. Create one there and paste it into Coolpanion. The connection screen in Coolpanion spells out the same three steps.

What permissions does the token need?

It depends what you want to do. read alone lets you watch everything. deploy adds start, stop, restart and deploy. write adds creating, changing, cloning, moving and deleting. view:sensitive is what reveals environment variable values instead of showing them masked. Server details need root team permissions on top of all that.

Coolify has no endpoint that lists a token's scopes, so Coolpanion works them out from how your instance answers. Open the connection settings to see what yours has been proven to allow, under Token permissions. When a scope is missing, Coolpanion hides the controls it knows would be refused and tells you which scope to add.

Coolpanion cannot reach my instance. What should I check?

First, the address: it needs the scheme (https:// or http://) and the port if your instance uses a custom one.

Then, the network: your phone has to be able to reach that address. For an instance on a home or office network, that usually means being on the same network or connected through a VPN.

Finally, the token: check it has not been revoked or expired on the Coolify side.

Where is my token stored?

In the device keychain, and nowhere else. The instance address sits with the app's other settings, since it is not a secret. Neither is ever sent anywhere but to your own instance. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

Can I try the app before I connect anything?

Yes. Tap Explore the demo on the connection screen. It walks through a fictional instance, every Pro feature included, without contacting any address.

Is this an official Coolify app?

No. Coolpanion is an independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by Coolify. Please report Coolpanion issues here rather than to the Coolify team.

Coolpanion Pro

Purchases and restores.

What does Pro unlock?

A second and further Coolify instance with full control, the Insights section (backup health, deployment statistics, configuration timeline, version alerts and on-device log analysis), and the widgets, Control Center control, Siri and Shortcuts. The full list is on the home page.

I bought Pro and it is not showing up.

Open Settings inside Coolpanion, tap Discover Coolpanion Pro at the top, then Restore Purchases. Restores work on the Apple Account that made the original purchase, so check you are signed into the same one.

Do I have to subscribe?

No. The one Coolpanion leads with is a one-time purchase of $19.99: buy it once, keep it forever, nothing renews. A yearly plan at $6.99 a year with 7 days free is there as an alternative, not a default. Both unlock the same features.

How do I cancel the yearly plan?

In the iOS Settings app: your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least a day before the renewal date. The developer cannot cancel it for you, since Apple handles the transaction. The lifetime purchase has nothing to cancel.

What happens if my subscription ends?

Nothing is deleted. Your first instance stays fully usable, with every action. The further instances become read-only, and the Insights go back to showing what they do rather than your own data. Buying again brings everything back.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds go through Apple, not the developer, since Apple handles the transaction. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Write in anyway if something did not work as described: knowing about it is how it gets fixed.
